Dr. Waldman is currently serving as the Professor & Chairman of the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Rochester, New York. Dr. Waldman graduated from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1988 and has been in practice for over 30 years. He is also a consultant for Brighton Surgical Center, Rochester, New York and has an adjunct Clinical Faculty appointment at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. Dr. Waldman is fellowship-trained in vascular and interventional radiology and is on the faculty in the Department of Imaging Sciences since 1994. Under Dr. Waldman’s leadership as a world-renowned Interventional Radiologist, the Section of Interventional Radiology has grown into national prominence because of his vision and dedication. The Interventional Radiology section currently performs highly advanced and technically challenged procedures such as Y-90 therapy, selective chemoembolization, TIPS, shunt procedures and tumor ablations using various modalities. He has personally trained many interventional radiologists who have gone on to become very successful practitioners in the practice of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Waldman has trained foreign interventional radiologist who has brought back TIPS procedures to China. He is a dedicated teacher and has an excellent style of teaching, which is liked by all. He has been funded for many of his research grants and continues to mentor Junior Faculty in Research.
Dr. Waldman is a well-known teacher, scholar, academician, and administrator and has written many highly peer-reviewed published articles. He has published a very successful book of Interventional Radiology titled “Secrets of Interventional Radiology” (Editor; David Waldman), published Elsevier Science. He has also been a Guest Editor of “Ultrasound Clinics: Interventional Ultrasound”, published by Elsevier, Inc April 2013, Vol 8, Number 2.
Dr. Waldman has received numerous honors and awards including Lifetime Service Award from the American Board of Radiology; Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology and Fellow of the American College of Radiology and Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Radiology, to name a few. Dr. Waldman has been invited as a Visiting Professor and Guest Lecturer by many prestigious radiology societies and hospitals, locally, nationally and internationally. Dr. Waldman is a Board Examiner for the American Board of Radiology in Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Waldman is a well-respected Interventional Radiologist among his colleagues, fellows, residents, medical students, and staff. His achievements in clinical care and teaching are excellent focusing on specialized Interventional radiology procedures.
Devang Butani, MD,

Dr. Butani is Professor of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He graduated from University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine, and completed his Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology training in the Society of Interventional Radiology pathway at the University of Rochester, New York.
Dr. Butani practices a wide breadth of Interventional Radiology (IR); his primary area of clinical and research expertise is in renal tumor interventions. He has been invited to speak on this topic nationally and internationally. He has published his research in prestigious IR journals, such as the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Butani was the founding Program Director of the Interventional Radiology-Integrated residency program at the University of Rochester and served in this position till 2021. He was instrumental in getting full ACGME accreditation, with commendations, in 2021. He also served as Program Director of the Interventional Radiology Fellowship from 2014 to 2020. Over the last decade, he has mentored many medical students, residents, and fellows, some of whom are his current colleagues.
Dr. Butani is a Fellow of the prestigious American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine. He has served as a Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair of the Intraoperative-Interventional community from 2017 to 2023. He has developed courses and course material for annual meetings and invited diverse expert speakers to speak at its annual conferences.
Dr. Butani is also the founding Associate Editor of the American Journal of Interventional Radiology. This open-access, peer-reviewed journal strives to provide free access to interventional radiology literature, especially in developing countries with limited resources. He established an Editorial Fellowship program that allows young Interventional Resident trainees to learn about the editorial process.
Charles E. Ray, Jr., MD, PhD

Dr. Ray is Acting Dean at the University of Illinois Medical School at Chicago (2017-present). He is also Professor and Chair, Department of Radiology at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago (2014-2017). He is Immediate past president for Society of Interventional Radiology and has held many positions in the society of Interventional Radiology such as Operations Committee, Chair, Gold Medal Nominating Committee, Corporate Ambassadors Task Force and Board of Directors – SIR Political Action Committee (2016-2017).
He is currently Editor-in-chief for Seminars in Interventional Radiology, on the Editorial board for Journal of Renal and Hepatic Disorders and Editorial Board for American Journal of Interventional Radiology. He is very active in promoting education and is currentlyChair, Medical College Executive Council, the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine.
He is very active at the national level in academics and is on the Council on Deans – American Association of Medical Colleges (2017-present), Chair,Refresher course committee – Interventional Radiology section – Radiologic Society of North America, Scientific Programme Committee Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies, Workshop co-coordinator, Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies – GEST 2017, Florence, IT , Global Embolization Symposium and Technologies – GEST 2017, Florence, IT (June 2017).
Dr. Ray is also a Journal reviewer for numerous prestigious radiology journals and a past Grant Reviewer for the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation.
Dr. Ray has independently and collaboratively published 95 peer-reviewed articles for many major radiologic Books and journals. He has 44 Review articles and invited papers, 26 Editorials, and commentaries, and numerous abstracts, educational and scientific poster presentations, as well as many books, monographs and book chapters. He has been an invited lecturer and Guest Speaker at numerous radiology meetings. Dr. Ray is a highly published sought after teacher, not only locally, but nationally and internationally as well.
Vikram Dogra. MD, FAIUM, FSAR, FSRU, FESUR

Vikram Dogra, MD currently serves as a Professor of Radiology, Urology and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Rochester, NY, USA and an Affiliate Professor at Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY. He is also Associate chair for education and Research and Director of Ultrasound. He is board certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American board of radiology and fellowship trained in cross-sectional imaging. His imaging experience spans 29 years. His scientific interests include GU radiology and Ultrasound.
Dr. Dogra has received more than 35 awards including Laurence A. Mack Research Award from the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound (SRU) for original research work and Dr. Diwan Chand Aggarwal Memorial Oration Award, presented by Indian Radiological and Imaging Association. He has also received awards for teaching and promoting Radiology across the globe.
Dr. Dogra is a consulting editor to Ultrasound clinics, published by Elsevier science and also its founder member. He is currently on the editorial board of Ultrasound Quarterly, a journal published by Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound. He has served on the editorial board of Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM), a publication of AIUM. He has been invited eight times to be Guest editor for Radiology Clinics of North America and Ultrasound clinics.
Dr. Dogra has published 160 peer-reviewed scientific papers and 34 book chapters. Dr. Dogra has 219 scientific national and international presentations to his credit. He is a very sought after speaker at the national and international level. He has trained hundreds of radiology residents and many fellows in radiology. He has delivered 85 international lectures in various countries, including China, England, Egypt, Uganda, India, Turkey, Mexico, and Chile. He has 51 visiting professorships to his credit. At the national level (USA) he has delivered 83 lectures. He has mentored many residents, fellows, and junior faculty members.
Dr. Dogra has eight textbooks in Radiology to his credit including Ultrasound Secrets published by Elsevier Science, ISBN 1-56053-594-6 and An Atlas of “Ultrasound Guided Procedures”. He is has served and/or still serving on many national and international committees as a member or a chair of the committee, including RSNA, ARRS, AIUM, and SRU to name the few.
He has been part of/or received 20 National grants for his research in Photoacoustic imaging and other research interests.
Dr. Dogra was awarded Honorary Membership of IFUMB in Lucknow (India) meeting on 4th November 2017.
